Earlier this week we hosted a groundbreaking for an exciting new project in Bloomington, IN…Urban Station | Phase II, our latest student multifamily project. This Opportunity Zone project is one of the first of its kind in the State.
“We’ve been reading about Opportunity Zones every day,” said Jarod Brown, Managing Director and Head of Acquisitions for Birge & Held. “We’ve had meetings with investors about the potential. This project has been a great opportunity to see the Opportunity Zone legislation at work. There is not a lot of development located in those areas designated as Opportunity Zones. It can be difficult to place Opportunity Zone capital. We feel fortunate that this project happened to be in an Opportunity Zone.”
